Responsibilities Noblis ESI is hiring an Enterprise Computer Architecture Lead Engineer with a Top Secret SCI clearance to work in Fort Meade, Maryland area. The program consists of computer hardware and software connected together in a computer network, devoted to processing and dissemination of information such as images. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with an Architecture team of system engineers, technical leads and Government Managers from multiple organizations and at different geographic locations.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. The ability and experience to work effectively in a collaborative manner within a diverse team of contractors and Government representatives across DoD and the IC is absloutely critical to this senior level Architect position. Qualifications Enterprise Computer Architecture Lead Engineer BASIC REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFIERS) * Must have and maintain a DOD Top Secret/SCI clearance * Possess experience and in depth understanding of both DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) modernization efforts, in particular USAF ISR open architecture and Air Force Cryptologic Office SIGINT development and integration * Be able to perform analysis, design, develop and deliver enterprise architecture views and models in support of AF DCGS open architecture and joint interoperability certification requirements. Use systems engineering processes to assess opportunities for interoperability and horizontal integration of enterprise ISR systems * Experience in government IT strategy, projects, and programs. Able to develop new ideas, develop strategic relationships and be able to demonstrate understanding of both DoD and IC organization and related system architectures * Possess in-depth knowledge of engineering principles, computer hardware and computer software * Apply engineering principles to acquire, implement, design, develop architectures, and maintain integrated computer systems * Must maintain a continuing computer engineering knowledge of state-of-the-art development in hardware and software architectures * Experience with Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, SIGINT systems architecture, Cloud Computing (including virtualization, platform migration, server consolidation, utility computing, grid computing, VPN, wireless and other mobility platforms, SAN/NAS, messaging, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, identity & privilege management and authentication) * Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers and senior government officials. Work effectively with AF DCGS mission partner architects to normalize data models and terminology between air, space, and ground systems allowing a better common understanding of inter-dependencies and creating opportunities for collaboration and reuse * Expected to seek and assume higher levels of technical responsibility, manage time efficiently across more than one initiative, and apply sound technical judgment * Must be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building and management skills. Lead collaboration of architects working to integrate AF DCGS capabilities via architecture working groups and other technical forums/events * Must be able to travel TDY; weekly local travel to Ft Meade MD also required * Strong technical, verbal, and written skills with the ability to effectively lead small teams and interact at both the technical and management levels * Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or equivalent; BS and 10 years of related experience or MS and 8 years of related experience or PhD and 6 years of related experience Desired TECHNICAL Qualifications: * Experience in developing and updating DoDAF architecure view * Experience working within a process improvement environment such as CMMI * Experience with Architecture tools such as Cameo and Sparx Enterprise Architect * Experience, intermediate or advanced level certifications of ITIL framework * Experience with supporting a DoD or IC System Program Office in architecture development and integration LOCATION: Fort Meade, MD Overview Noblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI and Noblis NSP, are solving difficult problems that help our government and our country.
