Position Responsibilities The Senior Research Analyst ensures the overall product quality, accuracy, timeliness, and depth of analysis within the Federal research team (civilian market sector). Principal duties include: conducting in-depth research to provide oral and written market trending analysis and presentations; providing reviews and quality assurance on content published by the analysts; working collaboratively with the team to promote thought leadership and expand company knowledge-base; providing training for the research team; contributing to product planning and enhancements. The position will act as a liaison between management and the research staff. * Conduct research to provide written market trending analysis, in-depth opportunity assessment and presentations. * Work collaboratively with the team to ensure in-depth research, analysis and delivery of high-quality and timely responses to clients in support of their business development activities and initiatives. * Create and deliver oral briefings to internal staff, external clients, prospects and trade publication representatives on market trends. * Monitor content published by the coverage area analysts and provide formal quality assurance reviews to ensure overall product quality, accuracy, and timeliness. * Provide training and development for team members to maintain quality controls and business practices based on product demands * Proactively contribute to product planning, product enhancements, and recommend improvements as well as quality control * Stay abreast of industry developments and public sector procurement trends * Represent Deltek at public-sector industry events. Engage in conferences, industry advisory groups, and activities to maintain and enhance Deltek's reputation in the marketplace. * Other duties as assigned by hiring manager Qualifications * Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree preferred but not required. * Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in the public sector marketplace, business development or government relations preferred. * Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications, including report-writing and PowerPoint presentations. * Keen attention to detail, including outstanding grammatical skills. * Overall understanding of database management. * Ability to manage priorities, organize multiple projects, and consistently meet team deadlines with high attention to quality. * Ability to learn fast, understand and utilize new software. Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite. * Strong desire to work in a collaborative team-based environment. * Demonstrated ability to assess and provide team-member training and mentoring * Customer focused and the ability to interact with clients and government officials within the market * Proven commitment to academic and professional excellence. * Thorough understanding of the public sector procurement process (including Federal Acquisition Regulations ? FAR) and/or business development (BD) cycle. * Knowledge of the government budgeting processSDL2017
